What is Psychological Testing?
Just as medical tests provide vital information about a medical diagnosis, so do psychological tests to diagnose mental health conditions. Psychodiagnostic assessments are scientific, evidence-based tests and tools that offer valuable insights into your psychological functioning.
Our team of licensed clinical psychologists carry out comprehensive psychological assessments that help us understanding your emotions, behaviours and overall mental health. They empower you to make informed decisions about their wellbeing and take proactive steps towards personal growth and development.
Psychological tests aid in diagnosing and measuring the degree of severity of various mental health conditions. In addition, they are instrumental in assessing personality traits, evaluating cognitive abilities, and exploring interpersonal dynamics.
The information gathered from these assessments serves as a guide for us to formulate appropriate treatment plans, identify areas of strength and weakness, and provide personalized recommendations. They allow for evidence-based decision-making and ensure the effectiveness of the chosen therapeutic approach.

Types of Psychodiagnostic Assessments
Comprehensive Assessment for Children
Developmental assessments evaluate a child’s developmental history, beginning from the time of conception, birth and delivery. The evaluation of intellectual functioning typically includes the measurement of various cognitive domains along with their socio-adaptive functioning.
Even with an average to above average IQ, children may still experience difficulties in academic functioning. In such cases, educational assessments identify the presence of any specific learning difficulty.
For children experiencing difficulties in attention and concentration, or behavioural concerns in the classroom, specific tests may be required to diagnose the presence of attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
In addition, we also screen for any psychosocial or emotional concerns the child may be experiencing, which may impact their academics, social interactions or overall mood.
Such assessments are helpful for the parents, teachers and educators to tailor-make their approach when working with the child. Along with the necessary support and psychotherapeutic interventions, they can also help students obtain the required exemptions or accommodations from educational institutions to compensate for their learning difficulties.
Comprehensive Assessments for Adults
Personality assessments aim to capture a person’s enduring patterns of thoughts, emotions, and behaviours. They provide valuable insights into a person’s thoughts and emotions, their personality traits, coping mechanisms, interpersonal style, and areas of potential concern. Such assessments use a combination of projective, semi-projective and objective personality tests for a comprehensive understanding.
In addition, clinical rating scales help screen for the presence and severity of symptoms of various psychiatric disorders.
Assessments of Neuropsychological Functioning:
Neuropsychology in its essence is the interface of brain and behaviour. Neuropsychological tests aim to assess whether certain thought, emotion or behaviour patterns are in fact arising due to damage or deterioration in the brain.
A combination of tests measure the individual’s performance on areas such as attention, concentration, memory, executive functioning, language skills, and sensory-motor abilities.
These assessments are often conducted in cases where there are concerns related to brain injury, neurological conditions, or cognitive decline. Therefore, such tests could help in the identification of adult ADHD or dementia and other such neurocognitive disorders.
