We are sensitive to the cultural context within which our patients are situated, and the cardinal role that families play in our social fabric. It is our endeavour to care for your family, just as we care for you.
Psycho-educating the family is integral to treatment so that family members understand the clinical condition and learn how best to support you as you heal. It’s only natural for families to feel worried and concerned when one of their own is in hospital, and so throughout your stay, we ensure that your family is abreast with your clinical progress.
Our treating team also has regular meetings with family members to help them cope with the stress of caregiving, strengthen communication and compassion, and foster a positive environment for recovery.
